Recently-canceled BBC period crime drama Ripper Street has been voted the best TV show of 2013 in a survey by the Web site of British magazine Radio Times. In what the site said was a protest against the cancelation, fans of the series, set in the time of Jack the Ripper, pushed votes for it to more than 35 percent of all votes this year.
