Kingston - Jamaica. The lyrical master and music veteran Phillip Thomas, better known has Cutty Ranks, has been making major moves with his music, has he recently collaborated with international artists 2 Chainz and T.Rone of the Young Money Cash Money Billionaire camp.

The dancehall/reggae artist has been featured on T.Rone’s Hello Love remix, where he has added his hardcore dancehall style to the song. Since it’s release both artists has been getting rave reviews.

To add to that, Cutty Ranks also collaborated with 2 Chainz on the track Slums of the Ghetto which features the artist Total Kaos. Despite his absence from the entertainment spotlight, the artist has been diligently working on his record label, Phillip Music. To date, the label has produced projects such has the Tax Money Riddim which features several artists including Lutan Fyah, Turbulence, Peter Metro, Devine, Jason Brown, Abby, Ali Ozwood and Cutty Ranks himself.

Cutty Ranks who has enjoyed a successful music career highlighted, “Having been in the music industry for over three decades now, I have analyzed it, and realized that some musical renovation needs to be done, and that is my aim, to bring back hardcore dancehall music.

“I also realize that many Jamaican artists and producers are now stuck in the hip hop sound and I believe we need to go back to the real authentic, hardcore reggae and dancehall music respectively”, the renowned international artist added.

The artist is now focusing more on the marketing side of his music and has joined forces with Dmoneyy of Dbeatz Music Group, out of Miami, who is known for his expertise in digital distribution and online marketing for both local and international artists. “I am elated to work with Cutty Ranks as he is an artist that I admired as a child, and of course he is an artist with an established catalogue”.He is also slated to release his first official Mixtape entitled ‘The Last Man Standing’ which will be hosted by the renowned record breaker Bigga Rankin alongside DJ Predator and Danger Marcus. The artist is also set for his mixtape tour ‘The Last Man Standing’ in December.

Cutty Ranks is known for topping charts in the early 90’s with his songs Stopper, Bomber, A Who She Mi Dun, Limb by Limb, Rudeboy Number and many more classics.
