MEET OUR NEW NEIGHBOR...1856 – CULINARY RESIDENCE

1856 – Culinary Residence nurtures the culinary talents of the next generation of Auburn students while serving memorable meals to guests. Situated on the corner of South College Street and Thach Avenue, the restaurant welcomes up to 48 guests and features a distinguished "Chef-in-Residence" program. The restaurant's open kitchen invites guests to watch as their dishes are prepared, and a two-story wine room stocked with bottles from around the world provides a stunning backdrop to intimate meals in our private dining room. This is the first-ever teaching restaurant to offer a tasting menu at dinner - an experience you won't want to miss.

World class cuisine.

1856 – Culinary Residence is now live! Our first month of service was meaningful, exciting, and truly unique – all the things you would hope to experience at the world's first teaching restaurant with a tasting menu, from our Chef-In-Residence and Pastry Chef, Tyler and Jennifer Lyne to our in-house Master Sommelier, Thomas Price, MS.

Several top-tier courses.
